If you are submitting articles to article directories, than its ok. But if you are posting them on Revenue sharing websites, it will be a negative point.
Like currently i use Google Adsense for revenue on expertscolumn and flixya websites, both are revenue sharing websites, thats why i have to submit 2 versions of article. This is necessary, because according Google policies if you want to earn handsome money, your content should be at least 70% unique as compared to other sites. ………………No Pain NO Gain- my Dear………….

Are you only doing article submissions for SEO? Article submissions will help build links however it’s not the only piece of the puzzle for improving your organic listing. You should also be building links via blags and Internet press releases. Purchasing so authoratative links will also and a lot of fuel to your SEO fire. Some social medial always helps as well, facebook, twitter, linkedin etc.
I would make sure the articles that you are submitting are not duplicating the content of your site. If you decide to do an Internet press release it must be new worthy or it will be extremely hard to get published.

Technically if you make tow or three lines or even words change , it will not effect , but when people will search using keyword , and if your all articles are listed then user will get the same thing in all articles……
Only this much is the disadvantage.
