Consumers and companies alike are going through profound changes based on complex and challenging economic realities. Everybody is looking for value, but value doesnt just mean whats cheapest, its about whats best for consumers, their families, their communities and the world around them.
Providing this value and living by our ethics is precisely what Starbucks has been doing for nearly 40 years and today we are poised to launch an extensive, long-term campaign to tell that story. As a loyal customer, we want to thank you for being an important part of our story and invite you to be among the first to discover the new campaign.

@ andylabolle: You are totally right. Schulz is an inspiring, caring, brave, and obviously effective leader.
@ detractors: please learn about the Starbucks story before your criticize. It is amazing, and it has touched a lot of lives in a good way, from the farmers receiving fair trade wages to the part-time employees receiving ownership shares and health insurance.

Howard Shultz is …
Howard Shultz is far from anything you even can know. this year he took a substantial pay cut to save partner jobs, and also held a managers conference in New Orleans. not for the beautiful view. so that he could pour over 50 million dollars into a recovering economy. he also took the time to have all of the managers put in over 50,000 hours of community service while in New Orleans to help rebuild their lives. He is an outstanding CEO and an even better person. its not just coffee its Starbucks

Howard Shultz is a ing hole, and this is one of the worst companies out there. They introduce gross, unappealing drinks, and then blame us when they don’t sell.

Has Starbucks ever thought about a reality tv show? I know alot of stores have very interesting stories/drama. I think from another partner’s view it would be entertaining to watch, but if you have never worked for Starbucks you may not get it as much.

Consider this! Starbucks is one of the best examples of Capitalism that there is, but all the people that hang out there despise Capitalism. They sit around drinking their $10.00 brew’s,reading the New York Times, denouncing Capitalism all the while patronizing one of the best models of Capitalism ever. Amazing!!!!!

I was hooked on Starbucks but have slowly weened myself out of having to have one ever day, 3x a day. The only problem with McDonalds is that they don’t have soy milk and those of us who are lactose intollerant…they’re drinks are not dooable. In addition, their’s are way too sweet.

“Just to get a …
“Just to get a trendy logo”? If you value coffee at all, you wouldn’t dare to say that. You may be able to get a deathly cheap cup of coffee at McDonald’s or 7-11, but the robusta, weak strength is such a compromise for what real coffee lovers value to the core. If we are going to spend our money on coffee, it’s going to be the finest coffee in the world, and Starbucks (Il Giornale) has been perfecting it for 38 years. Do your research, then debate.

If Starbucks still …
If Starbucks still exists when America emerges from this depression, maybe then we’ll go back to paying five bucks for a cup of coffee. Until that time, most of us are going to get ours at McDonald’s for a fifth of that price and use the other four dollars to buy a quart of milk, a loaf of bread and a dozen eggs. It’s amazing what you can afford when you don’t overspend by 400% just to get a trendy logo…

I agree. this video is so boring though. I wouldnt by fast food lattes. seriously?—lattes from the machine?–no thanks. I wouldn’t change. i’d rather not have lattes instead of buying it from places like McDonalds. I like real lattes like Starbucks’.

I strongly disagree …
I strongly disagree. Starbucks has become much more than just a cup of coffee. I hear a lot of people criticizing loyal Starbucks customers. Yeah, you pay more money, but not just for the coffee. You pay for a place where employees know your name and treat you much better than they do at McDonalds. You pay for an environment where you can bring in your laptop and get some work done. Try doing that at a fast food restaurant where they are trying to attract kids as much as adults.

As for myself, …
As for myself, Starbucks holds a lot more equity than just it’s coffee. Now, wether or not Starbucks has the best coffee is completely up to you, but I am not sure the inde coffee shops or Mc’d's have the social and moral responsibilities. Yes, McDonald’s has their Ronald McDonald house, but I haven’t seen my local McDonald employee doing volunteer service or supporting their customers on a personal level. Starbucks employees will move mountains for anyone. They definitely have for me before

wow…that’s not snobbish at all….see there’s something that you all forget. starbucks has a heart. if you’d look past your biases you’d see that starbucks actually gives a about their customers and the whole world in general

islandbee, just because a lot of people have tastes for weaker coffee doesn’t mean starbucks isn’t quality. whether people like the taste or not, it’s quality controlled coffee. mcdonalds probably just orders whatever beans they can for the cheapest they can. jee which one wins in quality…..thats really hard!

I’ve enjoyed s’bux, generally, but I enjoy other coffee shops too. I usually make my own at home.
If s’bux had compostable cups, I would be a lot more willing to purchase coffee when I’m out in the world without my own reusable cup!

people need to stop being intimidated or stop giving in to all the stigmas that the public gives starbucks.
alls i know is that in my store we genuinely love serving our customers, and i haven’t been to another starbucks (well, outside IL) where i feel like i’m mistreated or ostracized.

I am a partner who has been with Sbux for over 7 years now and am very passionate about the company and what we stand for. Every company goes through changes and ups and downs, sbux is no different. The thing is Sbux is always striving to be and serve the best. Sbux as a company has a HUGE heart , they truly care about their employees, they do so much to invest in the lives of everyone they touch. As for the price, if you just want plain old coffee, it’s only around 2 dollars.

zeragon7, Starbucks is not all that, when it comes to coffee. There are so many better beans that are out there. When blind taste test are saying the fast-food/donut shops taste better than Starbucks, it says alot about them. I live in Seattle, so I know the difference when it comes to superior coffee and coffee that is just mediocre ala Starbucks.

SBUX has been referred as “McCoffee” here in Seattle and now MC Donald’s is pulling the carpet right under SBUX. I laugh at all the SBUX loyals that come here saying how superior SBUX coffee is. If you live here in Seattle, I challenge you to go the indie coffee shops and try their coffee. We are spoiled in here in Seattle, and don’t know how people here in town would even go to SBUX when all the indie coffee shops have way more superior coffee than SBUX.

I’m sorry, but it’s a frickin’ cup of coffee. You’re making it sound like some sort of charity drive. You guys mentioned price like ten times in this video and it’s clear what’s freaking you all out. Someone else is challenging your turf and is offering a similar (I didn’t say better, so chill out…) drink at a MUCH lower price. This is not “a time for Starbuck’s to tell its story”, it’s “a time for Starbuck’s to charge a reasonable price for strained “bean juice”!
